The 27-year-old has been in good form this season and has managed to break into the top 10 of the ATP rankings on the back of some fine results. He has already bagged two titles this year. In February, he won the Delray Beach Open after defeating Reilly Opelka in the final in straight sets. Norrie’s second title triumph came in the Lyon Open when he defeated Alex Molcan in the final. He also lost a couple of finals this year as well at the Mexican Open and the Los Cabos Open. Another standout result was Norrie’s run to the semi-finals at Wimbledon.

Norrie tested positive for COVID-19 prior to his Korea Open quarter-final encounter against Jenson Brooksby. He also had to skip the Japan Open to facilitate a full recovery. Norrie’s match against Aslan Karatsev will be his first singles bout since recovering from COVID-19.

The Russian tennis pro might not have had a great year but he has managed to win a title. He defeated three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray in the finals in Sydney to bag the title. Since then, he has not been able to put in consistent performances.
