The world No. 5 – Stefanos Tsitsipas begins his Stockholm Open campaign against world No. 33 – Maxine Creasy in the round of 16 on Wednesday.

The talented Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the favorites to go the distance at the Stockholm Open. He has produced some terrific results so far this season. At the Australian Open, he made it to the semi-finals and backed it up with a run to the finals at ATP Rotterdam. Tsitsipas has bagged a couple of titles this year. In the Monte-Carlo Masters, he got the better of Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final to lift the title. The 24-year-old won his second title of the year at the Mallorca Open after defeating Roberto Bautista Agut in the final.
The Greek tennis pro played well to reach the finals in Astana. He went down to the legendary Novak Djokovic in straight sets in a lopsided final.
Maxime Cressy
The 25-year-old began the year on a strong note with a run to the finals in Melbourne. He was ousted by Rafael Nadal in straight sets. Cressy reached the final at Eastbourne International but fell short against compatriot Taylor Fritz. At the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, Cressy finally managed to win the final and bagged the title.
In the round of 32 of the Stockholm Open, Cressy came from behind to defeat Ilya Ivashka in a pulsating encounter. The match ended 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 in favor of the American star.

The head-to-head scoreline stands at 1-0 in favor of Stefanos Tsitsipas. He defeated Cressy in the third round of the 2020 US Open in straight sets 7-6 (7-2), 6-3, 6-4.
