After Season One of Sweet Home left audiences hanging with dramatic cliffhangers, fans eagerly anticipated its second installment. Netflix announced that Sweet Home 2 has been renewed for two additional seasons under director Lee Eun Bok who will helm both episodes – so fans should expect another captivating series.

Sweet Home takes place in an alternate reality where people with greed and malice are transformed into monsters by an unknown virus, captivating viewers worldwide – garnering over 32 top 10 rankings in South Korea alone and also garnering strong attention in other countries such as America. The show has earned significant accolades at home as well as abroad.

The second season of this popular Korean drama will once again follow its protagonists as they fight to stay alive in a world besieged by terrifying creatures. Expect some unresolved plotlines from season one as well as expanded conflict between survivors and military.

Production for Sweet Home 2 began in early 2023 and wrapped in March that same year, as planned by its production team. They are determined to make Sweet Home 2 an even greater success than its predecessor with an expanded story arc and even more thrills and chills anticipated – we can’t wait to see what comes next! Netflix will soon release the first episode from this new season.

Sweet Home, since its launch on December 20, 2020, has quickly become one of the most acclaimed Netflix K-dramas. The spine-chilling horror series has gripped audiences and many are eager to experience more in its second season.

At present, Sweet Home Season 2 does not yet have an official release date, though the series is scheduled to air sometime during the final quarter of 2023. As its predecessor ended with a dramatic cliffhanger, chances are it’ll pick back up soon after its end.

Sweet Home’s second season filming began early 2023 on location in South Korea. Later it was reported that Go Min-si (Hyun Soo in Season One), was to return as Hyun Soo but unfortunately had to step aside due to personal reasons.

Production team of the show has been reported as working hard on getting out its second season on time, according to director. According to him, this season will explore more thoroughly the curse as well as reveal more truth behind military experiments and deepen relationship between Hyun Soo and Sang Wook. If all goes as planned, release may occur by late 2023.
