The 25-year-old ended 2022 on a disappointing note as the third seed crashed out of the Tali Open in the round of 32 after losing in straight sets to Zizou Bergs. In 2022, van Rijthoven produced a dazzling performance at the Wimbledon Championships as he reached the fourth round at a major for the first time in his career. This was his debut in the main draw of a Grand Slam event.

However, the biggest triumph in 2022 for the talented youngster came at the Libema Open. Van Rijthoven went on to win his first ATP tour-level title by defeating pre-tournament favorite Daniil Medvedev in the final. At his US Open debut, he was ousted in the second round.

Radu Albot

The Moldovan tennis pro played his last match in 2022 at the ATP Challenger event in Roanne. In the round of 32, the top seed lost to Dimitar Kuzmanov. In the Australian Open, Albot emerged from the qualifiers and lost in the third round.

Prediction: Tim van Rijthoven to win in three sets.
