The governing body of men’s professional tennis – ATP has released a list of nominees for different categories one among them is the list of Most Improved Player of the Year. Taylor Fritz’s name is not on the list.

The players who have made the cut are Jack Draper, Carlos Alcaraz, Maxime Cressy, and Holger Rune. Players like Fritz and Felix Auger-Aliassime could have also been on the list but there is only room for four.

“Feel like I could’ve been nominated for most improved…. not saying I should win it or anything crazy like that but maybe just a nom,” wrote Fritz on Twitter.

While some believed that Fritz’s journey from No. 23 to No. 9 was tougher than players who made bigger movements during the year, some opined that the American athlete’s progression did not surprise people as he had the potential for a very long time.
