The Guadalajara Open, categorized as a WTA 1000 event, showcases some of the most skilled players in professional tennis.

Nevertheless, in this particular edition, a few top players won’t be participating. Iga Swiatek, a former World No.1, and Jessica Pegula, the reigning champion, have withdrawn from the tournament due to exhaustion.

Furthermore, Aryna Sabalenka, the runner-up in the 2023 US Open, won’t be competing this year. Nonetheless, the event will still feature a strong lineup, including players like Ons Jabeur, Caroline Garcia, and Maria Sakkari.

The tournament boasts an impressive prize pool of $2,788,468 and offers the winner a significant 900 ranking points, adding to the excitement of the race for qualification at the year-ending WTA Finals.

Guadalajara Open 2023 Prize Money – Singles Category

The majority of the prize money, derived from the total pot, will be distributed among the 64 singles players participating in the upcoming week.

The champion of the singles tournament will receive $454,500 in winnings. The runner-up will be awarded $269,960 and 600 points, while the semifinalists will take home $138,000 and 360 WTA points each.

Players exiting the competition in the quarterfinals will earn $63,350 and 180 WTA points each, and those eliminated in the round of 16 will receive $31,650 along with 90 WTA points each.

Players who do not advance beyond the second round of the main draw will receive $17,930 in prize money along with 45 WTA points.

Those who are eliminated in the first round will earn $12,848 and 25 WTA points. Participants exiting in the second qualifying round will be awarded $7,650 and 10 WTA points, whereas those defeated in the opening qualifying round will receive $4,000 in prize money but will not earn any WTA points.

Prize Money – Doubles Category

The doubles pair emerging as champions in the Guadalajara Open will be rewarded with $120,300 in prize money and a significant 1000 WTA points. The runners-up will receive $67,630 and 600 WTA points. Doubles pairs reaching the semifinals will earn $37,180 in prize money along with 360 WTA points.

Those making it to the quarterfinals will take home $18,750 and 180 WTA points each. However, doubles pairs that are eliminated in the opening round, the Round of 16, will receive $10,620 in prize money but will not earn any WTA points.
