Andy Murray has progressed to the quarterfinals of the Hall of Fame Open. He will face the talented Alexander Bublik.
Andy Murray did not have a great Wimbledon 2022 campaign. He was ousted in the second round by John Isner in a match decided in four sets. The 3-time Grand Slam champion has breezed into the quarter-final after defeating Sam Querrey and Max Purcell in the Round of 32 and Round of 16 matches respectively.
Murray has managed to reach a couple of finals this year. The first one was at the Sydney Summer Set while the second one came at the Stuttgart Open.
Alexander Bublik reached the third round at Wimbledon before facing defeat against Frances Tiafoe. The 25-year-old won his Round of 16 matches against Jack Sock in three sets. The Russian-born player has won one title this year. It came in February when he came up trumps at the Open Sud de France tournament.
However, since then his form has not been that great. He had only managed to reach one quarter-final before the ongoing Hall of Fame Open and that came at the Eastbourne International preceding Wimbledon.
Head-to-Head, Prediction, and where to watch
Andy Murray fans will be excited to know that the veteran leads the head-to-head 3-1. The last encounter between Murray and Bublik was won by the former and it came at the 2022 Stuttgart Open.
Murray will be the favorite going into the match. He would be looking to use all his experience to get one over the Kazakh tennis pro. However, the 35-year-old will be wary of the abilities that his upcoming opponent possesses.
We are backing Murray to win the match in three sets. Details of the match is given below:
