Looking back at if the beautiful game (football) is Stefanos Tsitsipas’ first love.
Stefanos Tsitsipas is an ardent football fan and that’s no secret in the Tennis fraternity. Well, does the Greek superstar love football more than Tennis? – that could be up for debate. Tsitsipas’ old social media posts suggest that the Greek had enrolled into a football academy from a very early age before he decided to pursue Tennis as a professional sporting career. In an old tweet that has recently re-surfaced on Twitter, baby Tsitsipas can be seen sporting a head-to-toe football kit and looks all set to take the field for a football training session – needless to say, fans absolutely love baby Tsitsipas’ cute appearance.
Tsitsipas has himself revealed in interviews that he is a big fan of Greek football club AEK Athens. It is his hometown club as Tsitsipas was born in the same city and grew up watching matches of AEK’s football and basketball teams. The ATP World No.3 also happens to support Greek club Olympiacos when they participate in European competitions. Olympiacos is a top football club, based in Piraeus, Attica and interestingly, shares a traditional rivalry with AEK Athens.
