The Adria Tour 2020 Zadar has some big names in its schedule
After the successful completion of the first leg of the Adria Tour 2020 in Belgrade, Serbia, the second leg will kick off on Saturday in Zadar, Croatia.
Dominic Thiem emerged the winner in the first edition in Belgrade, which saw fans come in huge numbers to see some of the world’s best tennis players in action.
The Adria Tour 2020 is organised by Novak Djokovic. Djokovic’s coach and former Croatian tennis star Goran Ivanisevic is the director of the tournament in Zadar.
A few of the tennis stars played in an exhibition match against members of KK Zadar at the Kresimir Cosic Hall in Visnjik.
Tennis stars Novak Djokovic, Borna Coric, Marin Cilic, Alexander Zverev, and Grigor Dimitrov faced Zadar basketball players Dominic Gilbert, Juri Planinic, Karel Uljarevic, Jan Palokaj, and Duja Brala. Among the tennis players, Djokovic, Cilic, and Zverev fared better than the rest.
The second leg of the Adria Tour 2020 event will be held from June 20 until 21 at the Višnjik Sports Center in Zadar. A total of eight matches will be held on Saturday – four in the afternoon and four at night.
Sunday afternoon sees four semi-finals taking place. And the Grand Finale will take place later in the night.
Djokovic, Zverev, Dimitrov, Coric, and Cilic will participate in this leg. However, Thiem, who won the tournament last time won’t feature in the second leg.
Here is the list of players competing at Zadar: Novak Djokovic, Danilo Petrovic, Pedja Krstin (all three Serbia); Alexander Zverev (Germany); Andrey Rublev (Russia); Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria); Borna Coric, Marin Cilic (both Croatia).
Eurosport will be the television network that will broadcast the Adria Tour matches live. Eurosport SD and Eurosport HD LIVE will broadcast the matches from 5:30 PM IST.
