Alexander Zverev aims to make a positive change in the lives of needy people through his foundation

Alexander Zverev announced on Saturday the launch of the Alexander Zverev Foundation, which will support children with diabetes and provide medication for those in developing countries with the condition. The German himself struggles with diabetes and he launched the charity to help children facing similar issues. Zverev took to social media to announce the launch of his foundation.

In his official statement, Zverev wrote – “Today, the Alexander Zverev Foundation has officially come to life, supporting children with type 1 diabetes and helping people prevent type 2 diabetes by living a healthy and active life. Our mission is to provide insulin and life-saving medicine to children in developing countries and those in need.As a type 1 diabetic myself, I want to encourage children with diabetes to never give up on their dreams no matter what others might say to you.”

“The only limit is the one you set yourself”, Zverev added.

Zverev faced Rafael Nadal in the semi-final and it was turning into a marathon clash, with the first two sets taking three hours to near a conclusion. Just as the second set was about to go to a tiebreak, Zverev got his ankle caught in the clay and he went over on it, tearing three lligaments in the process.

Zverev immediately underwent surgery and there is currently no nindcation of when he will return to action. However, despite the unfortunate ending of his exit at Roland Garros, he became World No. 2 on 13 June 2022 and presently holds the position.
