Carlos Alcaraz is set to be back in action at the Argentina Open next week – fans on Twitter recently helped him choose the best South American delicacy
Carlos Alcaraz will be back in action on the ATP tour after a gap of almost three months. The Spaniard is set to begin his campaign at the Argentina Open on February 15 – his first tournament since the Paris Masters in November last year. Alcaraz is currently training in Argentina and gearing up to make a strong comeback next week.
Alcaraz seems to be having fun in Argentina, trying various dishes, amidst his training sessions. The youngster tagged the official Argentina Open handle on Twitter and asked them to help him choose the best South American delicacy: “I have a question for you @ArgentinaOpen. You can only choose one: mate, roast or alfajor. Which one do you prefer?” Fans were quick to share their choices and help the Spaniard choose the best regional delicacy.
Alcaraz is the No.1 seed at the Argentina Open and is scheduled to begin his campaign with a Round of 16 encounter on February 15.
Let us take a look at what fans feel is the best South American delicacy that Alcatraz must try out.
“Carlitos, you can have all three of them, perhaps not at the same time”, suggested a fan.
“Alfajor for the win”, wrote another fan, who evidently loves Alfajor.
“For me: roast, alfajores, mate, because I really don’t like mate. But I imagine that Argentines would choose mate over alfajores, right”, read a comment.
“Easiest choice of my life: asadoI don’t like mate (I’ve been called “fake argentinian” for this) and I could live without alfajores since we have a million different pastries that taste like alfajores. But I can’t live without asado. A medium rare bife de chorizo with mushroom sauce will leave you drooling for days”, commented another fan.
Another fan wrote: “The roast, as I love its polenta flavor.”
