Chair Umpire Mohamed Lahyani is currently officiating at the Australian Open

Mohamed Lahyani’s Hitler-like moustache seems to be the talk of the town on social media after the chair umpire was seen in his new appearance during the Australian Open encounter between Andy Murray and Matteo Berrettini. Murray and Berrettini played out a thrilling five-setter, with the British star eventually coming out on top. Despite the many talking points throughout the match, it is Lahyani’s moustache which seems to have captured the imagination of fans on social media.

Lahyani’s look resembled that of Adolf Hitler – at least that’s what fans feel. The Swedish national is a Gold-badge chair umpire and he will certainly be officiating more matches at the ongoing Australian Open. Lahyani is a great asset to Tennis and he was probably not fully aware of how his look would be perceived by the public. Fans will be eagerly waiting to see if Lahyani decides to get rid of his Hitler-like moustache after the backlash on Twitter or has he got no such plans?
