Ash Barty announced her engagement through Instagram
Australian tennis star Ash Barty announced on Tuesday her engagement to long-term partner Garry Kissick. She confirmed the news through an Instagram post much to the delight of fans, friends and families.
“Future husband,” the 25-year-old tennis great captioned a photo, showing off her elegant engagement ring as well. Garry on his Instagram account revealed that they became engaged on November 15.
“I love you Ash Barty,” Gary wrote, adding the date in his caption.
Who is Ash Barty?
Ash Barty is an Australian tennis star who used to be a former cricketer as well. However, things quickly changed and she is now one of the best tennis stars in the country. She is just 25 and she has already won French Open and Wimbledon titles.
She is currently the World No.1 in singles. The Australian has also been World. No 5 in doubles tennis earlier in her career. She has 13 singles and 11 doubles titles to her name in the WTA events. She is the winner of three grand slam titles. Barty announced her retirement from Tennis on 23rd March 2022 via a post on her Instagram handle.
Who is Garry Kissick?
Garry Kissick is a golf player and PGA trainee professional at the Brookwater Golf & Country Club in Brisbane. He started his career at the club some 10 years ago in golf operations and quickly moved ahead to become the irrigation technician for the greens.
In 2019, he joined the PGA Trainee Program to further his professional golf career.
Ash Barty and Gary Kissick dating history!
A couple has been together for a few years now. The pair initially met in 2016 at the Brookwater Golf Club. The tennis star is a golf fan herself and was at the greens to play a round of golf.

The duo clicked instantly and the things from there have been all lovely dovely for the couple. Ash refers to Garry as her “cheeky and caring handsome boy”, while Garry affectionately calls the tennis player “baby”.
