Earlier in the month, fans blasted Tennis Channel for telecasting Pickleball while the WTA Washington Women’s Final was taking place. It seems that those complaints fell on deaf ears as fans recently spotted Tennis Channel showing Beach Volleyball.
Fans want the Tennis Channel to dedicatedly show tennis only. They have subscribed to the channel to watch tennis action. The US Open qualifiers were ongoing at the moment but Tennis Channel felt the need to show some beach volleyball matches that took place four years ago.
Many fans even suggested that the channel could show old US Open matches to build the mood ahead of this year’s campaign at Flushing Meadows getting underway. However, they had to settle with old US Open videos on YouTube to get into the zone ahead of the last major tournament of the year.
Tennis Channel has not reacted regarding the matter thus far. However, with the amount of intense criticism that it has faced on social media, it’s difficult for them to not have noticed it. The fans have a point and Tennis Channel should take their views into consideration and give them what they want.
