Casper Ruud is the top-most seed in action on Day 6. Ruud is coming off a convincing straight sets 6-3, 6-2 victory against Brandon Nakashima in the previous round. The Norwegian star has been in great touch this year with the highlight certainly being his appearance in the final of the Miami Masters. Ruud is seeded second in the tournament and has a realistic chance of clinching the title. However, he is yet to know his Round of 16 opponent as today’s results will determine it.
Who are the other seeded stars in action on Day 6 at Barcelona Open?
Cameron Norrie is another star from the top 10 of the ATP rankings who will be in action on April 21. Norrie had a challenging encounter in his previous round but did well to comeback from a set down to win 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 against Egor Gerasimov. Norrie’s opponent will depend on the results of the matches being played today.
Meanwhile, Diego Schwartzman, the 6th seed will take on Lorenzo Musetti in the Round of 16 on the same day. Schwartzman put up a stellar show at Pista Rafa Nadal to secure a convincing straight-sets win against McDonald earlier. The highlight of his season so far is certainly the final appearance at the Rio ATP 500 tournament earlier this year.
