Kamil Majchrzak is Poland’s No.2 singles tennis player, only behind world No.10 Hubert Hurkacz – he recently revealed testing positive for doping.
Polish tennis player Kamil Majchrzak has revealed that he has failed a drug test and now the future of his professional career is uncertain. Kamil Majchrzak stated that he tested positive in anti-doping controls during October and November. Majchrzak, who reached a career-high in the rankings of 75 in February, made the semi-finals in Pune, India, this year as well as two quarter-finals in Geneva and Sofia.
The 26-year-old revealed the news on social media. “I have some incredibly sad and difficult news to share with everyone. I have tested positive in anti-doping controls during October and November 2022. Firstly, I have never ever knowingly taken any banned substance. At this moment, I have no idea what has happened and this is the biggest shock. I’ve started the most difficult fight of my life – the fight to prove my innocence and return to the sport I love”, he wrote. It remains to be seen what the concerned authorities take action against Majchrzak, for violating anti-doping guidelines.
