Alexander Zverev continued his march in the 2021 French Open with another win
German tennis legend Boris Becker was full of praises for sixth-seeded Alexander Zverev as he hit 15 aces on his way to a comfortable second round victory at the French Open.
Becker posted on Twitter after Zverev’s win on Wednesday:
Alexander Zverev had a difficult start to his clay court-swing before an impressive run of form before the French Open, which Becker believes was the ideal preparation for the US Open finalist.
“He’s still a very young player and he will develop and mature nicely, and he will have a number of chances to win in grand slams and I think every Grand Slam he’ll play now he is good to go.” ( h/t Eurosport )

“No player can rule out a period of weakness. Zverev lost early in Monte-Carlo and Munich, but then turned things around,” said the German ace.
The Russian qualifier put up well and took two sets to tie-break, but Zverev prevailed in straight sets.
He won 7-6 (4), 6-3, 7-6 (1) on Court Suzanne Lenglen.
Alexander Zverev gets another easy tie in the third round
He now sets up a clash against the winner of the match between Serbians Laslo Djere and Miomir Kecmanovic.
Zverev is looking to become the first German Grand Slam champion in men’s singles since Becker won the last of his six major titles at the 1996 Australian Open.
Zverev will not play a seeded opponent until at least the fourth round. With Dominic Thiem out in the first round, his draw looks favourable. Zverev made his first ever Grand Slam final appearance last year at the US Open. He’ll be looking to go one better and finally win his first Grand Slam.
