Even tennis experts David Beilinson and Steve Flink showered praise on the youngster. They two spoke about Kozlov’s ability and how the feisty youngster can further look to develop in certain areas of his game.

Stefan Kozlov – A name to remember

Stefan Kozlov grabbed headlines when he breezed past Jiri Vesely in the first round of the Australian Open earlier this year. It was the first time that the youngster got past the qualifying stages of a Grand Slam tournament.

On a recent podcast Court-Side with Beilinson Tennis, David Beilinson and Steve Flink revealed how they were impressed with Kozlov. Beilinson got the topic rolling by stating, “We need to talk about Stefan Kozlov. I mean he had a rather poor defeat against Nadal. But what he showed at the Australian Open in the first round was just spectacular. He is one to look out for in the near future.”

Flink quickly agreed with Beilinson and added that Kozlov’s serve is a real weapon. “One of the main things that strikes me about Kozlov is his ability to get points off his serve. I feel like if he works a bit more on it, he can turn that serve into a lethal weapon.”

Kozlov reached two junior grand slam finals in 2014. However, he lost both – to Alexander Zverev at the Australian Open and Noah Rubin at Wimbledon. Now rubbing shoulders with the best senior players in the industry, Kozlov is expected to have a massive boon in terms of gaining experience and showcasing his talents even further.
