If you are trying to track J.J Wolf’s results at the Citi Open and see Milos Raonic‘s picture popping up, well don’t be surprised! You did search for the correct player and it’s Bing who has got it all wrong! Wolf and Raonic have an uncanny similarity in appearance and Bing has failed to differentiate.
J.J Wolf has been doing well at the Citi Open and fans have been regularly tracking his results in the tournament online and that’s how this strange error has come to notice. Unfortunately, Wolf lost to top seed Andrey Rublev 2-6, 3-6 in the quarter-finals last night. The American had a great outing, defeating sixth seed Denis Shapovalov and ninth seed Holger Rune in his previous two rounds.
Milos Raonic hasn’t been in action on the ATP for over a year and if you are wondering if he has retired then well, he has not! The Canadian’s last event on the ATP tour was the Atalanta Open in July 2021. Raonic took a hiatus after that due to injuries and is yet to make a comeback!
Raonic struggled with calf and right leg injuries for most of the year in 2021. After losing in the fourth round at the 2021 Miami Masters to eventual champion Hubert Hurkacz in three sets, he took a hiatus that lasted for three months when he returned at the 2021 Atlanta Open in July. As the top seed, he lost in his opening match against eventual finalist Brandon Nakashima in three sets. After the loss, he once again took another hiatus due to his injuries.
Raonic has been ranked as high as world No. 3 in singles in the ATP World rankings. He is the highest-ranked Canadian player in history. Raonic is the first Canadian man in the Open Era to reach the Australian Open semifinals, the French Open quarterfinals, and the Wimbledon final. He has won eight ATP Tour titles.
Currently, Raonic is ranked World no. 330 in men’s singles.
