Bjorn Borg is a former World No.1 and 11-time Grand Slam winner
Swedish tennis great Bjorn Borg admitted that he would also include Andy Murray alongside Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic while talking of the best ever.
A former World No.1, and winner of 11 Grand Slam titles, Borg, was speaking to Spanish media outlet Marca when he was asked who according to him was the best player in history.
Borg, who turned 64 last Saturday, was of the opinion that he could not side with one particular and would also include British tennis star Murray in the list of best tennis players.
“I would not like to be alone with one. In fact, apart from Rafa, Roger, and Novak, I would not forget Murray. All four have won a lot and it is difficult to start comparing them now to decide which is the best,” Borg said.
Meanwhile, Murray is a former World No.1 and three-time Grand Slam winner. He is also a two-time Olympic Champion and has won the Davis Cup for Britain in 2015.
“I like all three”
Borg also revealed that he did not have a particular favourite among the ‘Big Three’ of Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic. In fact, he said that he loved all three of them and people were more attracted to them due to the rivalries that they have maintained over the years.
“I like all three. People are drawn to watching them play and the rivalry they maintain. Its endings are all exciting,” he said.
Meanwhile, Borg added that among the current generation of players, he would like to face Spaniard Nadal.
“I would have liked to play a game with Nadal on the ground. I also really liked playing on that surface,” Borg admitted.
Like Nadal, Borg was also a dominant player during his heydays and has six French Open titles to his name.
