Former tennis player Carla Suarez Navarro and her partner Olga Garcia will be welcoming their child into their family in June next year.
Spanish star Carla Suarez Navarro recently retired from tennis after having an impressive career. Her partner, Olga Garcia is a soccer player. The former world No. 6 ranked player announced on Twitter that they are growing their family.
“A new stage that we really wanted to live. Let’s expand the family!
Excited and happy to face this great moment. Very soon we will be one more,” the 34-year-old announced on Twitter. Players who shared the court with her like Paula Badosa, Caroline Wozniacki, Garbine Muguruza, and others shared their good wishes on social media.
In a press statement, Suarez Navarro said that she and her partner feel proud to have taken this step. She revealed that they are due at the end of June.
Both Olga García, my partner, and I feel an enormous responsibility, we are very proud to have taken this step and we were excited to share it with all of you,” Suárez Navarro added in a press statement.
“Olga and I really wanted to be able to expand the family. After my retirement from sports, and both of us still young, we thought it was the ideal time to face a process that fills us with joy and enthusiasm. We are very excited about what we are experiencing and with all the new experiences that we hope to live soon.
“If everything goes as planned by the doctors, we should be due at the end of June. We are looking forward to that moment. Thank you all so much for the love.”

Carla Suarez Navarro won two singles titles and three doubles titles on the WTA Tour during her professional career that spanned almost a couple of decades.
Suarez Navarro won the 2014 Portugal Open to win her first singles WTA Tour-level title. She got the better of Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
The Spaniard won her second title at the 2016 Qatar Open. She defeated Jelena Ostapenko in three sets 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the final.
