Carlos Alcaraz’s stature in the tennis world is growing by leaps and bounds – however, there’s been a reduction in his height as per the official ATP website.
The titles that Carlos Alcaraz has won till now will always remain his. No one will be able to edit history and take the Spaniard’s name off the winners’ list. However, ATP has made a slight adjustment as far as Alcaraz’s height is concerned.
The 19-year-old tennis star’s height was previously given as 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 meters). Now, after the little alteration, Alcaraz’s new height is listed as 6 feet (1.83 meters).
This is certainly unusual as someone’s weight can fluctuate but a downgrade in height is a rare occurrence. Especially at Alcaraz’s age. Maybe the measurement was incorrectly noted when taken initially.
What’s next for Carlos Alcaraz?
Carlos Alcaraz, in a quick span of time, has reached the apex of the sport. With 2 Grand Slam titles to his name already, at just 20, the Spaniard looks set for a massive GS haul in his career.
With career earnings of over $21 million, he is already the 24th all-time earner in the sport. With only a few stars from the top 10 proving to be tricky opponents, it will be interesting to see how the Spaniard dominates the sport after Novak Djokovic retires.
