Carlos Alcaraz just continues his dream run as he came from 5-2 down in the first set to win the match 7-5, 6-3 against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth round of the Miami Open

The Spaniard’s match against the French Open 2021 finalist Tsitsipas was highly anticipated by fans all around the world. It lived up to all the expectations. Win percentage on the second serve was an impressive 50% for Carlos while that of the highest-ranked Greek player in history was 29%. Tsitsipas’ second serve percentage dropped from a whopping 74% from his Round of 32 match against Alex de Minaur.

Carlos Alcaraz has now won five of his last eight match matches against top 10 players. Carlos showed why he is considered one of the finest young prospects in the tennis world at present.

The stretch dates back to last year’s US Open when the Spaniard was ranked No. 55. The 18-year-old is now No. 16, which gives us an idea about his impeccable form.

Incidentally, Carlos’ last defeat came against Rafael Nadal in the semifinals of the Indian Wells. Carlos went down fighting 4-6, 6-4, 3-6. As far as the Miami Open is concerned, the win against Tsitsipas gave him his first quarterfinals berth in the competition.

Meanwhile, Miomir Kecmanovic won his Round of 16 match against Indian Wells Masters champion Taylor Fritz. The Serb Miomir lost in the quarterfinals to Fritz at the Indian Wells. He didn’t have to wait for too long to get his win against the American.
