Carlos Alcaraz and Russian ace Karen Khachanov are training together ahead of the Hamburg Open in Germany
Carlos Alcaraz is set to be back on clay court events after a disappointing outing at Wimbledon. The Hamburg Open is already underway and Alcaraz will be in action in the tournament. Ahead of his first appearance at the event, the Spaniard shared a training picture with Karen Khachanov on Twitter.
Carlos Alcaraz is seeded no.1 in the tournament and will play his first-round match tomorrow against Germany’s Nicola Kuhn. Meanwhile, no.7 seed Khachanov will be making his first appearance later today against Germany’s Jan Struff in the Round of 32.
Alcaraz reached the quarterfinals of the French Open, his previous tournament on clay. He has also won three titles on clay surfaces this year and will be high on confidence going into this tournament. The Spaniard had a hitting session with fellow pro-Karen Khachanov ahead of his first-round match.
