Diego Schwartzman will take on fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Round of 16 of the Cincinnati Masters
Stefanos Tsitsipas’ form coming into the match
Fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas will square off against Diego Schwartzmam in the Round of 16 of the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati. In his first round encounter, Tsitsipas defeated Filip Krajinovic comprehensively in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
Tsitsipas has had a solid season, reaching four finals and winning in Mallorca and Monte Carlo, where he was the defending champion. The Greek had a disappointing start to his US Open series, losing to Jack Draper in Montreal. He finds himself on a two-match losing streak and will look to stop the slide ahead of the US Open.
Diego Schwartzman’s form coming into the match
Diego Schwartzman is seeded no.13 in the tournament and is coming into the match on the back of two impressive wins. In the first round, he defeated Alex Molcan 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 and followed it up with another convincing win against Aslan Karatsev.
Schwartzman has come into the Cincinnati Masters on the back of a second-round exit at the 2022 Canadian open. The Argentinian has had a good season overall. While he’s yet to win a title this year, he has finished as the runner-up twice — at the Rio Cup and the Argentine Championships in Buenos Aires.

Head to head and Predictions
Tsitsipas and Schwartzman have faced each other four times in the past on the ATP tour and are tied 2-2 head to head. Their latest meeting came earlier this year at the Monte Carlo Masters and it was Tsitsipas who emerged victorious. It is a tough match to call but Tsitsipas is certainly the favorite both in terms of rankings and current form. We are predicting a win in three sets for Stefanos Tsitsipas.
