WTA World No.6 Coco Gauff has officially launched her new special edition signature sneakers ‘Coco Classics’. The American teenage sensation launched it on February 1 in collaboration with New Balance, a brand with whom she signed her first contract at the age of 14. This is Gauff’s first major step in the world of fashion after having already achieved immense fame in Tennis and Tik-Tok.
Gauff and New Balance both announced the launch of the sneakers officially on social media. “Coco Classics out now for the people who wanted a simple clean cut color way”, Gauff tweeted along with a beautiful picture of herself in a blue outfit.Meanwhile, New Balance announced the news on Instagram along with a picture of Gauff and captioned it: “A timeless original. The Coco CG1 “Coco Classics” launching February 1st. The first of its kind.”
With this latest collaboration, Gauff’s popularity as a brand continues to grow. The American is a teenage sensation in Tennis, a social media star on TikTok and now a popular figure in the world of fashion. Gauff is quite vocal as a social activist as well. She might just be a teenager but she has always been spoken up about various issues since arriving on the tour at 15 in 2019, including speaking out about climate emergency and even giving a speech during a Black Lives Matter march in 2020.
