Daniil Medvedev has earned total prize money of US$ 23,350,971 in his professional tennis career to date. He is the 17th all-time highest earner in Open Era Men’s tennis. Medvedev earns US$ 13.9 million per year (as of 2022).
The major part of it amounting to US$ 6 million is earned on the court while the rest of it is earned from brand endorsements, advertisements and sponsorships. The viral posts remind us of Daniil Medvedev’s humble beginnings.
Medvedev presently has a net worth of US$ 3 million. He is the brand ambassador of the German luxury cars manufacturer, BMW. The World No. 1 is also the brand ambassador of global sports equipment manufacturer, Tecnifibre. The company sponsors his racquets. Global sportswear brand, Lacoste sponsors the tennis attire of the Russian. He is endorsed by Bovet for watches, Tinkoff for banking and finance and HyperX for gaming accessories.
Medvedev has been trending on social media for reasons more than one. Besides, the tennis star’s former posts going viral, there have been other developments related to his social media accounts. Medvedev removed the Russian flag from his Instagram profile which has about 950,000 followers.
It is understood this move comes after the International Tennis Federation (ITF) banned Russian and Belarusian players from participating in events under the country’s flag. They can still however continue to play as individual athletes under a neutral banner.
The World No. 1 has been vocal about the Ukraine crisis on his social media. Earlier this week, he posted a message calling for peace between both countries. “I want to speak on behalf of every child in the world. They all have dreams, their life is just beginning; there are so many pleasant experiences ahead, first friends, first big emotions.” The 26-year old further wrote, “Everything they feel and see is for the first time in their lives. That’s why I want to ask for world peace, for peace between both countries.”
