Let’s take a look at the finals squads of the 8 teams that will be competing for the coveted Davis Cup title.

Australia

Captained by Lleyton Hewitt, Australia has an interesting squad with players like Alex de Minaur and Thanasi Kokkinakis. They will need good support from Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell. Alex de Minaur will hold the key as he has shown good form in the second half of the season.

Netherlands

The Dutch have an exciting squad at their disposal. Led by Paul Haarhuis, the likes of Botic van de Zandschulp, Tallon Griespoor, and Tim van Rijthoven can prove to be a handful while Wesley Koolhof and Maatwe Middelkoop will need to step up when required.

Croatia

Team Croatia has a good blend of youth and experience. 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic and a rejuvenated Borna Coric will have to lead from the front. Captain Vedran Martic also has the services of Borna Gojo, Mate Pavic, and Nikola Mektic.

Spain

Without Rafael Nadal, Spain managed to do a good job in the group stages. However, it is going to be interesting to see how much they will miss the services of world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz. Pablo Carreno Busta and Roberto Bautista Agut have truckloads of experience to bank on and they would have to guide Marcel Granollers along the way.

Italy

Arguably the strongest team in the competition, Italy has promising youngsters in Jannik Sinner, Lorenzo Musetti, and Matteo Berrettini to bank on while the experience of Fabio Fognini will also help. Simone Bolelli rounds up their squad.

USA

They might not look as formidable as Italy on paper, but the likes of Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, and Tommy Paul can punch above their weights more often than not. They also have the experienced doubles veteran Jack Sock in their ranks.

Germany

They have the potential of springing in a few upsets. Oscar Otte, Jan-Lennard Struff, Yannick Hanfmann, Tim Puetz, and Kevin Krawietz round up the team captained by Michael Kohlmann.

Canada

Canada will have the red-hot Felix Auger-Aliassime in their squad. The youngster is just 22 years old and has had a stellar second half of the season. He recently won three titles on the trot and was on a 16-match winning streak before he lost to Denmark’s Holger Rune in the Paris Masters. Captained by Frank Dancevic, the squad also has the likes of Denis Shapovalov, Vasek Pospisil, Alexis Galarneau, and Gabriel Diallo in their ranks. Apart from Auger-Aliassime, Shapovalov will be a player to keep an eye on.
