When asked, who among the current Tour players he first played as a kid, Nadal replied that he had never faced fellow compatriot and Serbian Novak Djokovic. However, he added that he had played against Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet, and Gael Monfils.

“With Novak, I never really played. I played with Andy, yes. I played with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet, with Gael Monfils, yeah. I had great memories from all these times,” recalled Nadal.

Meanwhile, Nadal also engaged himself and the whole tennis community by having a live conversation with fellow stars Roger Federer and Murray.

“I love what I’m doing”

Among the array of queries posted by Nadal’s fans, one of them asked the Spaniard what still kept him motivated despite all his victories. It did not take the 33-year-old much time to reply as he said,

“It’s very easy to understand. I love what I’m doing.”

“I feel super lucky person, for all the experiences that I am able to enjoy because of tennis. So, honestly, I want to keep doing the things that I like. So, it doesn’t matter if I achieved a lot or not that much,” Nadal explained.

A winner of 19 Grand Slam titles, Nadal is only second to Swiss genius Roger Federer, who has a record 20 Majors to his name. However, Nadal is all the time record winner of the French Open, with 12 titles under his belt.
