Carlos Alcaraz has been having a dream season. After winning four WTA titles, the Spaniard bagged his first major title last month when he won the US Open.
The 19-year-old Carlos Alcaraz defeated Norwegian tennis pro – Casper Ruud in a highly anticipated final to win the title at Flushing Meadows. Because of the win, Alcaraz was crowned the new world No. 1 in the ATP rankings, replacing 2021 US Open champion Daniil Medvedev.
Alcaraz has had a great start to his career and has the potential to become one of the greatest players of all time. He has received praise from fans and critics.
Alcaraz defeated his idol, Rafael Nadal, in the 2022 Madrid Open. Spain’s King Felipe VI congratulated the talented youngster following the epic triumph. They also posed for a quick photo after the match.
When Alcaraz won the Miami Open title, Felipe congratulated Alcaraz over the phone, and Alcaraz explained to the press how amazing it was to get the call from the Spanish king.
After making the country proud by winning the 2022 US Open, Alcaraz was invited to the Zarzuela Palace for a grand reception. Alcaraz was seen sporting a new hairstyle at the reception.
