The 2022 Australian of the Year was reduced to tears by the heartwarming message of Andy Murray
Dylan Alcott is an all-time legend of Wheelchair Tennis. The Australian retired in January as the World No. 1 in his classification. He is the only man to complete the Golden Slam in Quad Singles, winning all four majors and the Paralympics in 2021. He has 4 Paralympic gold medals in his kitty. Alcott is indeed an inspiration to millions of people around the world and Andy Murray is one of his ardent admirers.
Alcott faced a rare loss in the final of the Australian Open 2022. He lost to Dutchman Sam Schröder

Dylan Alcott overwhelmed by the love showered on him
Speaking at the press conference after the final, Alcott revealed Andy Murray’s personal message to him. Murray texted him, “I don’t know if I articulated that well; but you’re an absolute rockstar and an inspiration.” Alcott stated how overwhelmed he is by all the love and that’s when he broke down into tears. Thank You for all that you have done.”
The Australian was overflowing with emotions while he addressed the media. “This message sums up how it has changed. That (message) makes me want to cry. It’s special. You (all) are a part of it. They don’t even care you’re in a wheelchair. It’s so nice. It’s like that everywhere. I never thought that would happen”, said Alcott.
