The 19-year-old reacted to an interview she gave one year ago during the 2021 Wimbledon. She was asked to name three dream dinner guests. The first name taken was of the Italian-Australian racing driver Daniel Ricciardo. The second one was none other than basketball legend Michael Jordan. The last name she took was Tom Keene from Bloomberg. She also explained the specific reason for picking each man.

“I would say Daniel Ricciardo. He seems like a really funny guy. I’m quite into F1so that’s also exciting. I just love to hear more about it.”

“Michael Jordan. Just so much insight and yeah I’d love to just hear some stories of his and how it was going because I watched The Last Dance and I think everyone did, and I was so inspired after that. The third would probably be Tom Keene from Bloomberg because I did my A-levels in Economics……”

Raducanu said that her choices still remain the same. She said:

“I mean this is a good question. I think that its probably stayed the same, I mean I’ve always looked up to Michael Jordan. He is still the most inspiring sportsman to ever sort of exist for me I feel. Tom Keene, I remember I said in this that he was easy to understand and I think I remember it was just like I was a bit nervous in front of the camera and that kind of came out because he’s not the like what if you get it then it’s kind of cool my dad’s had to explain a few times what he meant.”

Who will Emma Raducanu face in the second round of Wimbledon 2022?

The 2021 US Open champion has not been in great form this year. She lost in the second rounds of both the Australian Open and the French Open in 2022.

However, a solid victory in the first round would have done a lot of good to her confidence. Now she will face Caroline Garcia in the second round.

The French tennis pro came back from a loss in the first set of her first-round match against Yuriko Miyazaki to win 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (10-4).

Garcia has won two Grand Slams on the doubles front and both were on clay. She was ousted in the first round of the 2022 Australian Open and in the second round of the 2022 French Open in singles competition.

Raducanu and Garcia went head-to-head in the Round of 64 of the 2022 Indian Wells competition. The former won the match in three sets.
