Everything you should know about the relaunched ATP/WTA app

Published by

The ATP and WTA joint app is an all-in-one official mobile app for fans and followers of men’s and women’s professional tennis

The application is fully customisable to cater to the needs of its diverse range of users. lt allows fans to tailor their experience around their favourite players and tournaments, providing the latest scores, results, stats, news, video and movement in the official rankings. The app launch marks the latest in a series of strategic collaborations to unify the fan experience and storytelling across the Tours.

The App’s launch comes at a time of high demand for a unified fan experience, with a growing contingent of tennis fans signalling their support for both Tours. It follows a series of collaborations between the ATP and WTA to align storytelling across the sport, including Tennis United, the hit digital show launched in 2020, and the integration of both Tours’ brand and marketing teams.

The focus on delivering a premium mobile-first experience reflects an acceleration towards on-the-go consumption of tennis, with more than 60% of web traffic on ATP and WTA channels coming from mobile users, a figure that has more than doubled over the past decade.

Players react to the joint ATP/WTA app

Players from the ATP and WTA circuits are really happy about the launch of this app. It brings a positive wind of change with both men’s and women’s tennis receiving an equal amount of attention. Fans who follow both the tours passionately can now access everything under a single umbrella which makes it really user-friendly.

Players explained that like the fans even professional players themselves will benefit from this app. Since, they are travelling most often, it becomes difficult to track everything actively but the new app will certainly help in that.
