Iga Swiatek and Ons Jabeur are two of the best players in the women’s game at this point in time. They may be fearsome rivals on the court but off it, they are good friends and share a great camaraderie.
Iga Swiatek recently appeared for the 2022 WTA Final Media Day. She has had a stellar season and will hope to put the cherry on the cake with a victorious campaign in the WTA Finals. However, she had a spooky surprise in store for her during the pre-tournament interview.
The world No. 1 has terrified her opponents this season with her immaculate skills. She received a taste of her own medicine but off the court from someone she has defeated in a couple of finals this season – Ons Jabeur.
Jabeur, dressed as a ghost, seemed to appear from behind as Swiatek was doing her interview. From the images, the Polish sensation actually got petrified, and it’s tough to blame her as Jabeur’s costume was spot on.
Swiatek took the prank in her stride and admitted on Twitter just how scared she was after meeting the ghost. She asked her fans to guess who it was.
The world No. 12 Paula Badosa guessed correctly as she wrote:
“This idea has to be from @Ons_Jabeur 100% ☠️👽🤣🤣”
Later, pictures emerged on social media of Ons Jabeur being the one behind the mask. The world No. 2 hugged Swiatek in one of the pictures after pulling off the Halloween prank and it was a wholesome moment for tennis fans.
