Players who have been in the top 10 for the most number of non-consecutive weeks

While Rafael Nadal is way ahead of second-best Novak Djokovic in terms of players who have been in the top 10 for most consecutive weeks, he doesn’t lead the list for players with the most number of non-consecutive weeks in the top 10.

Nadal’s long-time on-field rival and off-field friend, Roger Federer, tops the list of players with the most number of non-consecutive weeks inside the top 10 in the ATP rankings. The Swiss legend who retired from professional tennis earlier this year at the Laver Cup had been in the enviable top 10 for a whopping 968 weeks during his illustrious career that spanned almost two and a half decades. Nadal needs to be inside the top 10 for well over a year to break Federer’s record.

You might be wondering where does Novak Djokovic stand on the list. The Serbian veteran comes in at the fourth position with 765 weeks inside the top 10. He is behind Jimmy Connors who is in the third position with 817 weeks inside the top 10. Andre Agassi rounds up the top 5 with a record of 747 weeks inside the top 10.
