The Serbian superstar has been on a roll as of late. After winning his 7th Wimbledon title in July, Novak Djokovic has gone on to win the Tel Aviv Open and the Astana Open. He might have played on and off due to his unvaccinated status but has not failed in ascertaining his class when he has taken to the court.
After receiving a first-round bye, Djokovic began his campaign in the Paris Masters with a solid win against Maxime Cressy. The experienced campaigner was taken to the limit in the first set but the second set was a different story altogether. He broke Cressy’s service game in the ninth game of the second set with the score at 4-4. Djokovic closed out the match in the following game by holding serve. The former world No. 1 eventually won the match 7-6 (7-1), 6-4.
The defending champion will square off against Karen Khachanov in the round of 16 on Thursday. Djokovic leads the head-to-head scoreline 7-1 against the Russian youngster.
A wholesome video has surfaced on the internet where Djokovic can be seen enjoying a game of table tennis with a ball kid. In the 26-second video, Djokovic was happy to play the defensive game. The young boy won a couple of points while one point was won by the tennis legend. The last point was won by the young boy when he hit a smash that seemed to hit Djokovic in the chest. The 35-year-old reacted hilariously by falling to the ground.
