Novak Djokovic will be looking forward to winning his first-ever Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Novak Djokovic has done it all in the sport of Tennis. An Olympic Gold medal is the only thing that has been eluding him since Beijing 2008.
The World No.1 is currently in Tokyo, as he guns for Gold this time with a Golden Slam in mind. The Serb has just two more feats – An Olympic Gold and a US Open Championship victory to seal the deal.
More recently, Belgian Gymnast Nina Derwael shared a photo on Instagram of herself doing the splits alongside Djokovic. Nole can be seen executing the splits to perfection alongside Derwael.
She captioned the post:
“When @djokernole asks for a picture, you can’t refuse…;).”
The photo went viral pretty quickly, and had fans wondering if there was anything Djoker couldn’t do. Here is how Twitter reacted to Djokovic cross-training with Belgian gymnast Nina Derwael.
Novak Djokovic takes on Hugo Dellien in the first round of his Olympics 2020 clash. The Bolivian is ranked number 135 in the world, and will be looking forward to putting on at least a decent showing against the Tennis great.
Djokovic has ‘Golden Slam’ in his mind, as he would become only the second Tennis player to achieve this rare feat.
Women’s Tennis great Steffi Graf is the only player to have ever achieved the Golden Slam, back in 1988 when she won all the four Grand Slams and the Olympic Gold medal at the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games.
