Felix Auger-Aliassime has won three tournaments in last three weeks on the ATP tour

Canadia’s Felix Auger-Aliassime has become one of the few players to achieve a ‘Natural Hat-trick’ on the ATP tour in the recent past. Felix has won three tournaments in the last three weeks – Florence, Antwerp and, Basel. He has become only the third player in the last decade to achieve this rare feat after Andy Murray (2011) and Casper Ruud (2021).

The World No.8 started his incredible run at the Firenze Open in Florence. He defeated J.J Wolf in the final and then clinched the European Open final against Sebastian Korda last week. Felix completed his hat-trick at the Swiss Indoors Open in Basel yesterday. He defeated Denmark’s Holger Rune 6-3, 7-5 in the final.

Felix is understandably delighted after achieving this remarkable feat. “It’s been an amazing week. Once again in the final, not getting broken all week. Hopefully, I can keep going, but right now I’m feeling all the good emotions that come with winning a tournament. It’s amazing”, said the elated Canadian, after his win in Basel.

Fans react to Felix Auger-Aliassime’s unique feat on Twitter

Let us take a look at how fans reacted to Auger-Aliassime’s hat-trick of wins on the ATP tour.

“Mathematically he’s achingly close, but if Rublev makes it to the semis, and then loses to Fritz who then goes on to win the Paris tournament Felix would miss out on Turin, with Fritz and Rublev taking the last 2 spots”, wrote a fan, summing up Felix’s chances of making it to the ATP finals.

“Did anyone win 4-5 weeks in a row? What if he wins Paris?”, asked a curious fan.

“Andy’s is way more impressive with a Master + 500. 3 x 250s Casper thats 750p 3/4 of a Master not the same apart from the numbers”, wrote another fan.

“let’s not forget that andy actually won 4 titles in three weeks”, read another tweet.

“Both Murray and Ruud made 2 slam finals the following season. Just saying”, tweeted another fan.
