Top seed Felix Auger-Aliassime and no.2 seed John Isner will be in action tomorrow at the Hall of Fame Championships
John Isner vs Peter Gojowczyk
John Isner’s form coming into the tournament
John Isner is in decent touch coming into the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships at Newport. The American is seeded no.2 in the tournament and will be keen on clinching the title on home turf. Isner’s best performance so far this year on the ATP tour came at the ATP Houston tournament where he reached the finals but eventually lost to compatriot Reilly Opelka.
Peter Gojowczyk’s form coming into the tournament
Peter Gojowczyk sealed an impressive first-round victory against Ugo Humbert 7-5, 6-4 to set up a clash against Isner. The German will be looking to cause a major upset in the Round of 16 against the local favorite. Gojowczyk hasn’t had an overwhelming year so far and would be looking to turn things around.

Head to head and Predictions
Isner and Gojowczyk have faced each other before only once on the ATP tour. Their only meeting came at the Delray Beach Open in 2018 – Gojowczyk winning it in three sets. The German leads 1-0 on head to head. However, Isner is the favourite going into this match both in terms of form and rankings. We are predicting a straight sets win for John Isner on home turf.
Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Jason Kubler
Felix Auger-Aliassime’s form coming into this match
Felix is the top seed in the tournament and certainly an over-whelming favorite to clinch the title. However, he is not coming into this event in good form. The Canadian lost in the very first round of Wimbledon to unseeded Maxime Cressy and would have a point to prove in this tournament.
Jason Kubler’s form coming into the tournament
Jason Kubler registered a comprehensive 6-2, 6-3 win against compatriot Jordan Thompson in the first round to set up a clash against Felix. Kubler is not a regular feature on the ATP tour – inconsistency being one of the major issues for the 29-year-old. The Australian will certainly face an uphill task in this Round of 16 clashes.
