In his absence, Arthur Fils, a promising young French tennis player from the #NextGenATP group, will step in to represent Team Europe in Vancouver. This will mark Fils’ first Laver Cup appearance, and he’ll be playing alongside teammates such as Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud, Hubert Hurkacz, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and Gael Monfils. His breakthrough moment came in May when he secured his first tour-level championship in Lyon. Fils will now join Team Europe in their quest to reclaim the Laver Cup trophy from Team World.
