Andy Murray is an ardent football watcher and a lifelong fan of Arsenal football club and he was shocked by rivals Chelsea’s instability
Andy Murray is surprised by Chelsea’s lack of stability as the London club suffered another defeat in the Premier League last night. Murray is an avid football fan and supports Chelsea’s rivals Arsenal and his hometown Scottish club Hibernian. While Chelsea’s woes don’t seem to end, Arsenal are currently leading the Premier League table and Murray appears to be enjoying every bit of his team’s success this season.
Chelsea are in a poor run of form and their spends in millions during the winter transfer window doesn’t appear to be of any use yet. They succumbed to a 0-1 defeat at home to bottom-placed Southampton and that comes across as quite a surprise for the fans. “How many times have Chelsea played the same starting 11 in the premier league this year?” – read a tweet from Murray, indicating that their lack of stability could be the major reason for their woes. Meanwhile, Murray’s Arsenal registered an emphatic 4-2 win over Aston Villa and continue to lead the Premier League table.
Fans respond to Andy Murray on Twitter
Let us take a look at a few of the responses from fans on social media.
“Doesn’t matter – whatever combination they use they still manage to be dreadful, and it’s lovely to see”, wrote a fan.
“Never but when Potter just sits there watching the opposition manager coaching at every injury break you have to ask questions”, tweeted another fan.
“Potter has made 72 changes to the side since joining. He has no idea what his best team is. Maybe a squad that size and that expensive is simply unmanageable?”, read a tweet from another frustrated fan.
“I really wanted it to work for Graham Potter, but the longer it goes the less likely it seems”, commented another fan.
Another fan wrote: “That’s the problem with buying so many first team players they can’t all play and then they get shitty.”
