A clip of the US College Tennis match has gone viral in no time after a tweet by a user

College Tennis in the US is very popular and followed closely by thousands within the country. However, footage from a recent match involving Charles Courtreau of Radford University has attracted attention from across the globe due to a bizarre line call by the player. The clip was first shared by a user on Twitter and it has gone viral on the internet in no time.

“I have seen some wild hooks in college tennis. But I’ve never seen anything like this. Charles Courtreau of Radford called this ball out (even though it’s in the middle of the freaking court) because there’s no chair ump for this match. Luckily, the camera caught this”, read the tweet. In the footage, one can clearly see that the ball dropped in the middle of the court but Courtreau made an unfair call which was apparently provoked by a previous incident. However, many fans on social media have accused the teenage college player of cheating and taking advantage of the fact that there was no chair umpire present to officiate the match.

Fans react to the outrageous call at US College Tennis

Let us take a look at how fans reacted to this bizarre call.

“He called the ball on the middle of the court to show that he was taking his point back. If he wanted to cheat like the other he’d call one close to the line. Classic eye for an eye. Welcome to college tennis”, wrote a user.

“Isn’t it possible that you may have missed the 2 previous obvious hooks from the very respectable Will Woodall. If you’re going to report things like this, at least, don’t pull a Fox News”, tweeted another fan.

“He obviously got hooked right before, show the full tape so the other guy doesn’t look like a hero”, read a tweet.

“New rule in college tennis, you have to get the return past the service line. Looks like a clean call to me”, joked another fan.

Another fan wrote: “College tennis is crazy. Played several matches where opponents cheated (maybe not this much).”
