Coco Gauff is among the billions who watched the FIFA World Cup Final between football giants Argentina and France on Sunday and she fell in love with the sport.
Argentina and France played a thrilling final that will be remembered by football fans for ages to come. The twists and turns that happened during the match made it a treat to watch, especially for the neutrals. For fans of France and Argentina, it was a pulsating, nerve-wracking affair as the emotions swayed constantly.
The South American giants had a great start to the match. They outplayed France in the first half and took a 2-0 lead. The defending champions, France, got back into the match when Kylian Mbappe scored from the spot in the 80th minute. With all to play for in the last ten minutes of normal time, France threw the kitchen sink and finally drew level courtesy of a sensational strike from the talismanic Mbappe. Lionel Messi, who gave Argentina their first goal of the match, cut a dejected figure as his dream of winning the world cup appeared to have suffered a big setback.
As the match rolled into extra time, both teams looked cautious. Messi scored in the second half of extra time but Mbappe once again equalized for France. The match was eventually decided in penalties as Argentina won 4-2.
The intense encounter is being hailed by fans as the best Fifa World Cup final ever. Talented youngster Coco Gauff watched the match and later gave her reaction on Twitter. Gauff confessed that she is fully a football fan now and also addressed the match as probably the best sporting event she has watched.

At just 18, Coco Gauff has already won a Grand Slam title in doubles and finished runner-up at a Grand Slam singles event.
The American youngster won her first WTA Tour-level singles title at the 2019 Linz Open when she was just 15 years old.
Gauff lost in the qualifiers but entered the main draw as a lucky loser. She defeated Latvian star Jelena Ostapenko in the final to win the title.
