Martina Navratilova has been involved in frequent altercations regarding Twitter and their new policies and regulations after Elon Musk took over

Martina Navratilova is not all impressed by Twitter’s new policies and regulations since the takeover by Elon Musk. Ever since Musk completed his US$ 44 billion buyout of Twitter, he has introduced several new rules which have not gone down well with the users of the platform. Tennis great, Navratilova is one such displeased user and she has publicly expressed her opinions on the platform itself.

Navratilova recently responded to a tweet by a user who feels that the new steps taken by Elon Musk will make Twitter “noisier, more dangerous & less interesting.” The tennis star tweeted: “It’s going to be a total mess. Only a matter of time”. The tweet comes just days after Navratilova openly criticised Twitter and got involved in an altercation with another user.

Martina Navratilova is not ready to pay for the “verified” blue tick

New Twitter Boss Elon Musk has announced that all users whose accounts are verified with a blue tick must pay 8 dollars per month. Navratilova took to Twitter to state that she has no intention of paying the money and that Twitter can take away her ‘blue tick’ if they want. “I didn’t ask for the blue check mark- it just showed up one day, so feel free to take it away. My peeps know it’s me”, Navratilova wrote, responding to a tweet by Elon Musk.

Soon after this tweet, Navratilova got involved in an altercation with a random Twitter user. The user chimed in and responded to Martina Navratilova that if the blue tick didn’t bother her, she wouldn’t be posting it in her feed and replying to Elon Musk. In response, Navratilova made it clear that it was none of his business. Navratilova went on to clarify that paying is what would make her mad and not losing the blue check mark.
