Jannik Sinner roped in by Gucci as Brand Ambassador in 2022 – he has now signed a new deal
Italian Tennis star Jannik Sinner has inked a new deal with iconic fashion brand Gucci. He was roped in as the brand ambassador last year and has now become the face of Gucci’s latest campaign. Sinner is the highest-ranked Italian tennis star currently and it doesn’t come across as a surprise that Italy’s most famous brand is milking revenue through their hometown hero.
Sinner is the centre of attraction in Gucci’s latest campaign “A Hero’s Journey”. This campaign has been created by Gucci in collaboration with GQ Sports. It highlights athletes and their personal experiences—including the lengths they’ve gone to succeed.
In the video, a Gucci-clad Sinner can be seen speaking to an agent over the phone while penning a novel about his life, “Sinner” by Sinner, with the first chapter titled “The Real Me.” “I’ve been called a robot, a machine, a superhuman. I’m the kind of player who loves the game. If I could have one superpower, it would be playing tennis forever”, Sinner says in the short clip. The Italian seems to be enjoying this stint before coming back to court next week at the Wimbledon Championships.
Carlos Alcaraz joins Louis Vuitton as House Ambassador
Jannik Sinner is not the only Tennis star who is ruling the fashion world. World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz has joined French fashion house Louis Vuitton as their newest Ambassador. The Spaniard is one of the hottest properties in global sports currently and this is not the first time that he has been signed by a top brand as their ambassador.
Alcaraz is endorsed by a lot of popular multi-national brands even at such a young age. He is sponsored by Nike for clothing and shoes, Babolat for racquets. He recently became the brand ambassador of popular Swiss watch manufacturing company, Rolex.
Earlier this year, Alcaraz was announced as the Brand Ambassador for Calvin Klein’s underwear campaign ‘Calvins or nothing’. However, this association seems to be closer to his heart. “For me, Louis Vuitton is really a brand that I have always looked to and when the opportunity to work with the team arose, it instantly felt like a perfect partnership”, said Alcaraz after the partnership was officially revealed on social media. Alcaraz has been spending the past few years educating himself on how he could make an entry into the fashion and he certainly seems to be on the right track.
