Judy Murray Career

Judy Murray is famous for being a professional tennis coach and as the mother of Sir Andy Murray and Jamie Murray. During her time as a player, Murray won 64 titles in Scotland – junior and senior career combined and had a go at the professional tour in around 1976. However, she eventually gave up the idea of competing professionally as she often felt homesick. As things turned out, she switched his career from being a player to a professional tennis coach.

Murray’s coaching career began with her two sons Jamie and Andy. Besides her sons, Judy has coached many players at the regional and national levels under the accreditation of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) of Great Britain. She also led the British Fed Cup team as captain from 2011 to 2016. In 2017, Judy was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to tennis, women in sports, and charity.

Besides her career in sport, Murray is quite good in academics as well. She attended Edinburgh University and eventually graduated with French and Business studies in 1981.

By her own admission, Judy revealed that she had undergone a non-surgical facelift in February 2021, which cost her a whopping £4,500 non-surgical facelift. She underwent the treatment because her sons used to tease her by calling her a turkey neck.
