Jil Teichmann’s performance in the competition till now
Jil Teichmann has been in sublime touch and is yet to drop a set in the Madrid Open. The Swiss international defeated veteran Petra Kvitova in the first round and followed it up with a stunning win against 17th seed Leylah Fernandez. Jessica Pegula’s performance in the competition till now
Jessica Pegula entered the tournament as the 12th seed and has certainly lived upto expectations so far. She began her campaign with an intense three-set win against Camila Giorgi but her journey has been relatively comfortable since then, having won all her next matches in straight sets.Pegula defeated Kaia Kanepi in the Round of 32 and followed it up with wins against Bianca Andreescu and Sorribes Tomo to set up a semi-final clash against Jil Teichmann.

Head to head and Predictions
Jessica Pegula and Jil Teichmann have never faced each on the WTA tour before in their careers. It is a tough match to call especially considering both players are in equally great form. On paper, Pegula is the favourite due to her superior ranking but one can never rule out Teichmann, who has already taken down two seeded players during her journey thus far in the tournament.
We are predicting an intense clash with Pegula eventually winning in three sets.
