Antoine Bellier’s form coming into the match
Bellier has been in impressive touch at the Mallorca Open. The Swiss player had to overcome two rounds of qualifying to challenge the top players in the main draw. Bellier got the better Carlos Taberner and Mats Rosenkranz in the qualifiers. The 25-year-old then defeated Federico Delbonis in the Round of 32 to set up a clash against 4th seed Pablo Carreño Busta.

Benjamin Bonzi qualified for the Round of 16 by the virtue of a walkover in his Round of 32 encounters The scoreline read 6-3, 4-2 in Bonzi’s favor when his opponent, Alejandro Tabilo decided to retire due to an injury. The Frenchman will certainly face an uphill task against Shapovalov in the Round of 16.
