Mardy Fish was a former professional tennis player and World No.7
Former American tennis player Mardy Fish took a shot at Swiss maestro Roger Federer with a hilarious tweet.
A former World No.7, Fish won six ATP titles before retiring from the game. The 38-year-old grabbed the spotlight by replying to a tweet posted by ATP’s Twitter handle.
ATP had suspended all Tours and matches at least until June 7 in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
With little or no action taking place at the moment, the ATP decided to spice things up a little bit by asking fans around the world to share a brilliant tennis story in four words.
Fish was one of the tennis stars to reply to this as he posted a hilarious tweet taking a slight dig at Federer.

Though it was meant to be on a lighter note, Fish, back in 2008 at the Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells, had defeated the then-World No.1 in the semi-final. Despite reaching the final, he lost to Serbian Novak Djokovic.
Fish’s only win against Federer
Fish’s win at the Masters’ tournament in Indian Wells was his only win against Federer.
Both players met each other just nine times overall with Federer having an 8-1 lead against the American.
The last time the pair met was at the quarterfinals of the 2012 ATP Masters 1000 event in Cincinnati, with Federer emerging the winner.
Fish retired three years later after the 2015 US Open and is now the captain of the American Davis Cup team – a position he has held on since January 2019 replacing Jim Courier.
