Wimbledon Champion Marketa Vondrousova is just 24 but she has been married for close to a year now. Vondrousova tied the knot with her long-time partner Stephan Simek in 2022. She was engaged to Simek in 2021, when she won the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics and eventually got married a year later. Her husband, Simek is a professional tennis player as well and is a regular feature on the ITF circuit.

Vondrousova and Simek enjoyed an outdoor wedding in July 2022. The venue was Chateau Mcely—a resort hotel outside the Czech capital city of Prague. The ceremony was attended by close friends and family members of the couple. They took commemorative photos on a well-manicured tennis court and shared the pictures with fans and followers on social media. Vondrousova and Simek will celebrate their one-year anniversary next week.

Chris Evert Lloyd was the last married Wimbledon women’s singles champion

Chris Evert is a former professional tennis player from the United States, and John Lloyd is a former professional tennis player from the United Kingdom. They got married on April 13, 1979 and Chris changed her name to Chris Evert Lloyd. However, their marriage was not a successful one, and they eventually divorced. They separated in 1987 and their divorce was finalized in 1989. Following their divorce, both Evert and Lloyd moved on with their lives and pursued their respective careers in tennis.
